When I stocked up last weekend, it wasn't just on groceries. I also bought an 8 pack of paper towels. I immediately pulled one out and put it on the kitchen counter on my paper towel holder.
I went about the rest of my evening, then the whole family hit the sack. The next morning, I found this in the family room:

To recap, one roll on the kitchen counter, plus one roll on the family room floor, equals two.

Plus one in the dining room equals three.
Plus four in Lilly's crate equals seven.
Plus...
Yeah, I can't find the eighth one. Seriously.
**Insert some elapsed time and hunting.**
Nope, still can't find it. I'll let you know if I ever do.
My kitten does this too with paper towels. He chewed up 2 of my new place mats overnight the day I got them. Last week he knocked a spa candle off the top of the toilet. And today I can home and there was a shattered vase on the tile in front of the fireplace. He is one destructive cat. Pets... gotta love 'em!
